In the first two months of 2010, the number of newly-approved overseas-funded enterprises amounted to 3,163, up by 14.56% year on year. The actual use of FDI rose by 4.86% year on year to US$14.024 billion. And in February, the number of newly-approved overseas-funded enterprises reached 1,297, up by 2.53% year on year. And the actual use of FDI rose by 1.08% to US$ 5.896 billion.

The actual use of FDI by sectors in January and February: in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery up by 81.88% year on year, and its proportion in total foreign capital rising to 1.64% from 0.95% in the same period of last year; in manufacturing down by 13.02% year on year, and its proportion in total foreign capital decreased by 9.87 percent year on year, from 57.88 to 48.01%; in the service industry up by 18.94% year on year, and its proportion in total foreign capital up by 5.2 percent compared with 38.81% in the same period of last year; in the real estate, up by 3.64% year on year. (Not include banking, insurance and securities.)
