I. Mainland-HK Trade
In the first four months of 2010, Mainland-HK trade rose by 31.4% year on year to US$61.82 billion. Mainland’s export to HK was US$58.02 billion, up by 29.8% year on year. And Mainland’s import from HK was US$3.8 billion, up by 62.9% year on year.

In April, Mainland-HK trade reached US$18.14 billion, down by 1.3% compared with that in March. Mainland’s export to HK was US$17.02 billion, down by 1.1% compared with that in March, and its import from HK was US$1.12 billion, down by 4.2% compared with that in February.

II. HK Investment in Mainland

In the first four months, 3,375 HK-invested projects were approved by Mainland, up by 19.2% year on year. The actual use of HK capital reached US$16.04 billion, up by 24.6% year on year. In April, 948 HK-invested projects were approved by Mainland, down by 6.1% than that in March. The actual use of HK in April was US$5.65 billion, up by 77.1% than that in March. By the end of April, the total number of HK-invested approved by Mainland was 312,696 with an actual used capital of US$411.68 billion.

III. Mainland-HK Economic Cooperation

In the first four months, the total number of project contracts mainland gained in HK for labor service cooperation, design and consulting services reached 547, with the contract value of US$0.9 billion. The turnover amounted to US$0.58 billion. By the end of April, the number of labor dispatched to HK was 19,674, and the accumulated turnover reached US$38.36 billion.
