The 107th Canton Fair will wrap up the first-phase exhibition on April 19. Information from the internal and external Canton Fair indicated that the number of overseas businessmen present at the Fair is expected to significantly rise compared with the previous one, with the orders also estimated to turn better.

However, in such favorable situation, relevant responsible persons of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and many a entrepreneur are “prepared for danger in times of safety”, appealing to the circle of Chinese foreign trade that it should rethink profoundly numerous defects in the financial crisis to speed up the transformation of foreign trade growth mode so as to better welcome the “post-crisis era”.

“To speed up the transformation of foreign trade growth mode in the post-crisis era is the inevitable demand of accelerating the transformation of economic growth mode. So in the post-crisis era, the new strategic orientation of Chinese foreign trade growth is: to boost the economic growth, promote social harmony and uplift the international position.” Chinese vice commerce minister Zhong Shan said at the “symposium on transforming foreign trade growth mode nationwide” in the Fair on April 18.
