Statistics of Mainland-Macau Trade and Economic Exchanges in First Quarter of 2010 PDF Print E-mail

I.Mainland-Macau Trade

In the first quarter of 2010, the value of the trade between Mainland and Macau rose by 0.7% year on year to US$480 million, among which, the value of Mainland’s export to Macau rose by 25.1% year on year to US$460 million and the import from Macau decreased by 82.0% year on year to US$20 million.

In March of 2010, the value of the trade between Mainland and Macau amounted to US$180 million, up by 20% compared with that in February of 2010. The value of Mainland’s export to Macau amounted to US$170 million, up by 21.4% instead of that in February. The value of Mainland’s import from Macau rose by 100% year on year to US$10 million.

II.Investment from Macau

In the first quarter of 2010, 53 Macau-invested projects were approved by Mainland, down by 32.1% year on year, with the actual use of Macau capital of US$200 million, up by 127.9% year on year. In March, 19 Macau-invested projects were approved by Mainland, up by 72.7% compared with that in February, with the actual use of US$120 million, up by 50% compared with that in February. By the end of March, total number of Macau-invested projects was 12,335 with the total actual use of US$9.25 billion.

III.Mainland-Macau Economic Cooperation

In the first quarter of 2010, total number of project and the labor service contracts signed by Mainland in Macau was 3,461 with the total value of US$370 million. The turnover reached US$230 million. By the end of March, the number of labor services in Macau was 47,041 and the accumulated turnover in Macau was US$10.33 billion.
