China's power consumption in September rose 10.24 percent from the same month last year and increased 2 percentage points up from August to 322.41 billion kilowatt hours, according to China's National Energy Administration (NEA) on Thursday.
Accumulative power consumption in the first nine months topped 2.66 trillion kilowatt hours, an increase of 1.4 percent over the same period last year.
By sector, power consumption in the first nine months added 6.35 percent year on year for the primary industry and 11.26% for the tertiary industry. But power consumption for the secondary industry, including mining, manufacturing, building and construction sectors, decreased 1.67 percent over the same period last year, showing continued improvement of China's energy efficiency. |
