According to an article posted on the China Securities website, China's new materials index jumped 50% more than the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index from October 27, 2008 to the end of October 2009.
New materials are broadly defined, but the eminent element is the battery that used for cell phones, laptops, and other electronics.
Pan Xifeng, an analyst from China's Northeast Securities, pointed out that any company involved in areas of new materials, low carbon dioxide emission, energy efficiency, and pollution control, deserves some special attention. New battery business is ranked number one among all of them. |
