The announcement stated that for the purpose of preventing and curbing monopoly pricing practice, and protecting fair competition, in accordance with the Anti-monopoly Law of the People’s Republic of China, NDRC has drawn up the Anti-Monopoly Regulations (Draft).  Online opinions are solicited, and all kinds of opinions and suggestions are welcome to finalize the draft. The deadline of feedback is September 6, 2009.

This regulation covers monopoly pricing agreement and monopoly pricing practice. It especially pointed out that rules issued by governmental and public organizations are also subject to this regulation, as long as they exclude and restrict price competition.
