Tuesday, 30 June 2009

On December 31, 2008, China's Ministry of Commerce issued a public note declaring to stop the anti-dumping measures for imported press papers from the U.S., Canada, and South Korea, and allowing individuals and organizations to formally request the Ministry to review the decision at least 60 days in advance, according to a release posted on the Ministry's website.

On April 30, 2009, representatives from the press paper industry requested a formal review and the Ministry started the reviewing process, but the request was withdrawn later on and the Ministry decided not to pursue the review any further.  Therefore, the Ministry issued another public note (Bulletin No. 51) declaring to end the anti-dumping tax collection starting from June 30, 2009.
